We’ve had a fantastic week of weather here in the UK, and despite the heat, the pirkx team has been hard at work. Personally, I find the sunshine incredibly uplifting, and it gives me that extra boost of motivation. There’s just something special about seeing everyone outside, walking their dogs, meeting friends in the park, and soaking up those summer vibes.
It’s a stark contrast to not so long ago, when going outside wasn’t even an option. The pandemic reminded me, and I’m sure many others, to never take simple moments like fresh air and friendly chats for granted. That period gave us a whole new appreciation for socialising, nature, and connection.
Covid changed the world in ways we never imagined. It pushed us to adapt, both mentally and physically, and sparked a shift in how we view our lives and routines. One word seemed to rise to the surface through it all. Wellbeing. It became a priority.
World Wellbeing Week
Every year, during the final week of June, we celebrate World WellBeing Week, which is an opportunity to think, and express our gratitude to the healthcare professionals and carers who go above and beyond for us every day. It is also an opportunity to highlight the many outstanding advocates for wellbeing, including practitioners, nonprofits, and social entrepreneurs, who all contribute in different ways to helping people.
More and more companies are realising that wellness is essential, not just a nice to have. Organisations of all sizes should take advantage of World WellBeing Week to showcase their efforts to help their employees. It's about honouring your groups, clients, partners, and all those who contribute to improving work and life!
