Ending membership

You can end the membership of any of your members by unticking the box "Renew Membership".

You will not be charged any further payments for that membership.

Please note that the next subscription payment for one or more of your members that you have chosen not to renew is due within 3 working days. We will have already submitted these payments to our Direct Debit payment provider GoCardless.

As such we wont be able to cancel this payment however you wont be charged any further payments for the member's subscription.

Your member will continue to have access up to 14 days after the next billing date.

Ending membership

The member will continue to have access to your benefit site up to 14 days after your next billing date. For example if you pay monthly the member's access will end 14 days after your next monthly payment due date.

The member will be informed by email that their membership will not be renew and will be offered the opportunity to continue their pirkx membership on a self pay basis with a pirkx branded benefit site.

If the next subscription payment is within 3 working days we wont be able to cancel this payment and your member will have access up to 14 days after the following billing date.

Why has my pirkx benefit site changed?

You may find that your pirkx benefits site layout has changed slightly.

This is because who invited you to the pirkx site has moved your account to a new view.

You still have access to all the great pirkx wellbeing pages for you and your household.

A counselling service is the cornerstone of any integrated health and wellbeing initiative and provides direct telephone access to an advisory support service, for members and their families.

The service costs £2.40 per member per year which will be added to the subscription depending on the frequency of payment you choose to pay for your member’s subscription at either 20 pence per month or 60 pence per quarter or £2.40 per year. The service can be switched off at any time and no further payments will be taken for the service.

All counsellors are accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within the framework of the BACP code of ethics at all times. The service is delivered nationwide and is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

What is the pirkx telephone counselling service?

The pirkx counselling service provides direct telephone access to an advisory support service, for members and their families.

If you have purchased the counselling service for a member then the telephone number will be shown here on the landing page.

You can purchase the counselling service for £2.40 per year per member by ticking the box next to your member’s name on your invitation dashboard.

Resend invitations

We resend invitations to any of your invitees who have not yet joined during the first month of them receiving the initial invitation and then monthly reminders thereafter.

You can set the frequency of the reminder emails to weekly or never.

What is pirkx?

pirkx provides a package of benefits and savings for individuals in order to extend their income spending potential and enhance their health and financial well being.

Companies, Associations, Charities, Clubs and Public Sector bodies can offer pirkx as a way to engage their members, their contingent workforce and their employees regardless of employment status.

Self employed individuals can join pirkx and access all the great benefits for the low price of £4.50 per month, £12 per quarter or £45 per year per member.

Companies, Associations, Charities, Clubs and Public Sector bodies can join for free and pay for their members access to pirkx or they can offer access on a self pay basis, all for the low price of £4.50 per month, £12 per quarter or £45 per year per member.

Who can join pirkx?

The self employed (sole traders, contractors, free lancers) and business owners can join pirkx and they and their families can access all the great pirkx benefits.

Business owners, Companies, Associations, Clubs and Charities can join as Corporate users and invite their teams, members and clients to pirkx for them and their families to access the great pirkx benefits

What are the pirkx benefits?

The pirkx benefits extend to the member and the member’s family and include:

  • 24/7, 365 days a year telephone access to a GP and online face to face access to a GP Monday to Friday 8:30am to 10pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm.
  • Discounts from over 2,500 major high street and online retails
  • Discounted entertainment
  • Discounted travel money, travel currency and international payments
  • Discounted gym membership and access to virtual gym classes
  • A host of wellbeing pages offering holistic, financial and long term care advice
  • Discounted private medical, life and personal accident insurance
  • A monthly lottery to win up to £3,000 and a number of competitions

How are the discounts provided?

Online Direct Discounts

Online Direct Discounts are available from our online partners. These are either discounts to the check out price or cash back offers that are added to the pirkx cash back account.

  • To obtain the discount a member accesses the Retailer’s website via pirkx and the discount will be automatically applied or require you to enter the voucher code at check out
  • For cash back offers a member accesses the Retailer’s website via pirkx and the cash back amount will be automatically applied after check out
  • The cashback amount is added to the member’s pirkx cashback account and can be transferred to a bank account once the balance is over £5

Digital Vouchers

Members can purchase and download vouchers to spend in Store or Online.

  • Digital vouchers provide cashback in a similar way to the Reloadable cards
  • The vouchers are ordered online via pirkx and emailed to the member. Great if you are in store and waiting in a queue to pay
  • The cashback is provided at the time of purchasing the voucher, for example ordering £75 of vouchers with 10% cashback provides a cashback amount of £7.50
  • The cashback amount is added to the member’s pirkx cashback account and can be transferred to a bank account once the balance is over £5
  • The voucher can be used in Store or Online and can be used alongside any Retailer loyalty cards

Reloadable Cards

These are physical cards that members can load with money and use to spend in Store or Online.

  • The cards are ordered online via pirkx
  • The cards are loaded with cash online via pirkxand can be set to automatically top up monthly
  • The cashback is provided at the time of loading, for example loading £100 to a card with 4% cashback provides a cashback amount of £4
  • The cashback amount is added to the member’s pirkx cashback account and can be transferred to a bank account once the balance is over £5
  • The cards are reloadable so a single card can be used multiple times by either reloading on the pirkx site or using automatic top up
  • The card can be used in Store or Online and can be used alongside any Retailer loyalty cards

Do we need to pay tax on a trivial benefit?

You don’t have to pay tax on a benefit if all of the following apply:

  • it cost you £50 or less to provide
  • it isn’t cash or a cash voucher
  • it isn’t a reward for work or performance
  • it isn’t in the terms of an employment contract

This is known as a ‘trivial benefit’. You don’t need to pay tax or National Insurance or let HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) know.

As long as pirkx is paid for either quarterly (£48 total annual payment) or annually (£45 per year) then it may be considered a trivial benefit.

What should I do if a discount doesn’t work?

If for any reason a discount doesn’t work with a Retailer our customer support team would be delighted to help, please call 0345 561 0131 or email customersupport@pirkx.com

What should I do if I can’t login to my pirkx account?

If you have reset your password and still cannot login to your account please call us on 020 3963 2685 or email us at hello@pirkx.com and we’d be delighted to help with your access to the site

How long is the pirkx membership and can I cancel?

If you are paying for your pirkx membership you can choose to pay either monthly, quarterly or annually. There is no commitment beyond the payment frequency you choose.

Should you wish to end your membership you can do so at any time by going to your “My Details” page and either un-renewing your membership or deleting your account.

Should you be within 3 workings of your next payment date we are unable to cancel your membership payment and if the payment is successful we will extend your membership for a further payment period based on the frequency of payment e.g. monthly, quarterly or annually.

What happens if I have a leaver?

Should you wish for a membership not to be renewed then simply unclick the “Renew” tick box next to the member’s name on your pirkx Corporate dashboard
